What is Crew?
What devices in Crew available on?
- Crew is available on iPhone XS (Sept 2018) and above.
- All features, with the exception of Staff Upsell will work on an iPad, however you will require an iPhone XS or above to take payments (as of November 2023).

It's currently free for all Serve customers! But you'll be charged your existing transaction rate for all orders processed through the Staff Upsells feature.

How do I take payments with a physical card?
Physical cards can take a little longer to process and require the staff member to hold the physical card in a specific orientation over the phone. This is due to the location of the chip in the card and how the Tap to Pay on iPhone feature processes the transaction. Please ensure that you're instructing your team members to process physical card transactions like the below image - if you're having any difficulties, reach out to the chat support team.
Staff Upsells FAQs:
- Is the Staff Upsells feature available in all regions? The Staff Upsells feature is currently available in Australia. We're working hard to make it available in other regions.

Can I use Staff Upsells on an iPad? Unfortunately, Tap to Pay is only available on iPhones as of November 2023. This is a constraint of Apple Hardware. Other Crew features will work on an iPad.
- Can I split payments on Staff Upsells: Not yet, stay tuned!
- Can I mark items out of Stock? You can access Manage via Crew - we will be working to make this feature available in Crew shortly.
- Can I take Cash Orders? Only payment via cards (or phones that have cards set up on them) can be processed at the moment.
- Can I process refunds? You can access Manage via Crew - this is where you can process refunds - we will be working to make this feature available in Crew shortly.
- Can I add orders to a group order/tab? Not yet, but this will come!
- Can I start a group order/tab for a guest? Not yet, but this will come!

- How do I enable this feature? Email support@meandu.com or contact chat support through the speech bubble in Manage.

What ordering types does Fast Feedback work with? You must be using Dine-in and Counter ordering types. It is not supported for Multi-vendor venues or Flex tables.

How often are guests prompted to send a review? After every order.

Are guests required to review their experience? No, it is completely optional.

Are all reviews sent to Crew? Yes, on the first release, all reviews are sent to Crew.

Are all reviews captured? Yes, we will record all reviews both in crew and in our database.

Will there be reporting? Yes, we’ll be able to write a report that aggregates all the reviews submitted by guests. Email support@meandu.com or contact chat support through the speech bubble in Manage to request the creation of a report.
