What does it mean to program a QR code?
Programming unlocked QR codes means you are able to independently program which ordering type and table number the QR code will direct guests to.
How can I know if my QR codes can be programmed?
There are two ways to check if your QR codes can be programmed.
1. Visually
(a) If your QR codes are the same as the left, or have a legacy Mr Yum logo in the centre - they will be locked and cannot be programmed. Locked QR codes remain functional as usual and will not affect the guest experience.
(b) If your QR codes are the same as the QR code on the right, it means the QR code is unlocked and you can edit the table number and ordering type whenever required in me&u Crew.
2. me&u Crew
Crew will let you know if your QR codes can be programmed once scanned.
Steps to program
1. Download Crew from the App Store if you're using an iPhone, or from Google Play if you have an Android device.
2. Log into Crew using your Manage details.
3. Under the More tab in Crew, you’ll need to find and select QR codes.
4. Select Program QR code.
5. Allow access to your camera and scan the QR code.
6. Select the relevant ordering type (these options will match the ordering types for your venue you set up in Manage).
7. Table number
Input the relevant table number you wish to program to that beacon.
(a) Table numbers must match what exists in your POS. If you are creating a new table number in your venue, make sure it exists in your POS system.
(b) Use a maximum of 6 numbers and avoid the use of symbols or spaces to avoid impacting your POS.
8. Select confirm once complete.
Program quicker with Auto-sequence
Swipe to enable the auto-sequence feature if you are programming multiple beacons at once. This feature allows you to automate programming to the next number.
(a) Only use this feature if your table numbers are in chronological order e.g 1, 2, 3, 4,5...
(b) Auto-sequence works when letters are involved, but it must end in a number e.g B1, B2, B3...
