With this functionality, staff can take orders and payments from guests to drive extra sales. You can learn all about this feature here.
How to collect payments on Crew?
Once you've added items to the cart and have selected ‘Tap to Pay', the Tap to Pay functionality will be kicked off so someone can pay via digital wallet, physical card or Apple Watch.
This screen can be flipped around so that guests have a more seamless experience when paying themselves.
The payment method (e.g., contactless card, phone, or wearable device) must be tapped or held near an NFC-enabled iPhone or Android device running Upsells.
For iPhone, the NFC reader is typically located near the top of the device.
For Android, the NFC location varies by manufacturer but is often on the back of the device.

Important Notes:
- Apple Tap to Pay on iPhone and Google Pay on Android devices offer the most seamless Tap to Pay experience. The chip reading technology is much faster and higher signal than a physical card.
- Guests can also pay using their physical contactless card, however, they must hold it horizontally for at least 4 seconds.
Supported devices
To use Tap to Pay with Stripe, your device must meet the following requirements:
- For iPhone Users: iPhone XS or later, running iOS 16.7 or newer.

For Android Users: NFC-enabled device running Android 11 or later. The device must:
- Not be rooted
- Have a locked bootloader.
- Run an unmodified manufacturer-provided OS.
- Support Google Mobile Services.
- Have the Google Play Store installed.
