What is an allergen tag
Allergen tags allow you to display important dietary details so your customers can make the best decision for themselves.
For UK Venues, the UK Food Information Amendment - otherwise known at Natasha's Law - requires you to highlight the inclusion of 14 key allergens in any menu items. Using these allergen tags, you can easily fulfil this requirement and clearly identify each allergen on every dish.
Â
How to set allergen tags
- Navigate to any Menu Item and select it.
- Scroll down to discover the Allergen information option and select it.
- Select the new dropdown menu and choose your relevant allergen you want to declare.
Â
What your allergen tags will look like on your menu
Allergen tags will be presented in order of the allergens you've chosen. If you haven't chosen any allergen tags on a menu item, the details will not be displayed.
Â
What allergens are included?Â
- celery
- cereals containing gluten (such as barley and oats)
- crustaceans (such as prawns, crabs and lobsters)
- eggs
- fish
- lupin
- milk
- molluscs (such as mussels and oysters)

The allergens will appear on the menu item page like so, "Contains: allergen1, allergen2, and allergen3."
