Snooze Ordering helps venues pause an ordering type such as Dine-in, Pickup, or Delivery for a specific duration, then automatically resume it at the set time. It allows you to temporarily stop new orders during busy periods, adjust or resume the snooze early if needed, and ensures guests can’t place new orders while the ordering type is paused.
Venue managers and owners can manage snoozes directly in Manage, while me&u Support can assist with extended or special cases.

Before You Snooze: Helpful Alternatives
If your kitchen is busy or short-staffed, try these before pausing ordering entirely:
- Set a wait time – This takes you to the Availability & Wait Time page, where you can let guests know there’s a short wait for orders to be ready. 👉 Refer to the article How to manage menu availability and wait times for step-by-step instructions.
- Hide menu items – This takes you to Your Menu → Menu Items. From here, you can go into your Food category to mark individual items as unavailable or hide them from your menu. 👉 See How to make menu items as unavailable for details.
- Disable menu categories – This also redirects you to the Availability & Wait Time page, where you can temporarily hide entire categories or menu sections that you don’t want to take orders for. The article How to manage menu availability and wait times will be helpful here as well.
- Get in touch with support – This option opens the chat bubble so you can contact me&u Support if you need to turn off ordering for your venue indefinitely (example for renovations) or for a custom time range (example for seasons)
If none of these options resolve your situation, select Continue to snooze orders to temporarily pause the selected ordering type.
