The use case for in-venue is for ordering and delivering food to a hotel room or to a gate at an airport. Most in-venue orders would be for a pub that has some hotel rooms attached to the pub and they are the same business, where it's probably dine-in. There are some cases where the order could be delivered to a hotel that isn't related to the venue that the guest is ordering from, so in that case, it would be closer to delivery/pickup.

Managing In-Venue Delivery Orders
After an In-venue order has been made, it will appear on the live orders screen. It will stay here until you complete the order. Once the guest's order is ready, you can then SMS them from this screen. You can send an SMS if delivery will be made now or after several minutes (Choices will show if you select Delivery in..) (instructions on how to turn this on are below). After the staff has delivered their order, you can then complete the order and the order will move from the live orders to completed orders.
Customising SMS Notifications
You might want to adjust the generic SMS notifications
- Select Orders > SMS Notifications
- Scroll to the In-venue delivery section
- You can then adjust any of the default SMS to suit your venue.
- Select Save
