This article will walk you through how to connect your printer to Manage after the physical setup is complete, so you can start printing orders seamlessly.
What you’ll need before you start

Your printer must be plugged in and connected to the internet (via Ethernet).

A laptop or computer on the same network as the printer.

The printer’s IP address handy (we’ll show you how to find it too!).

Step 1: Access your printer settings

Turn off your printer.

Hold the Feed button while turning the printer back on.

Wait for it to print two slips.

Discard the first one — the second slip will show the IP address.

Open a browser on your laptop and type the IP address into the address bar.

Step 2: Update the printer firmware

On the login screen, enter:

Username:
root -
Password:
public

Click Firmware Update from the side menu.

Click Check for updates > Scroll down > Click Download.
-
Wait until the update finishes (the light may flash red).

Once done, log in again.
-
Update your password (you can reuse ‘public’ if you prefer).
-
Click Submit, then Save, then Restart Device > Execute.
Step 3: Connect your me&u printer to Manage

Go to manage.meandu.app
-
Find your venue and click Venue Details
-
Under Integration Setup, select Direct Printing from the POS Vendor dropdown
-
Click Save
-
Go to Batching & Printers > Printer Setup
-
Click Add Printer > Name it something like Kitchen Printer or Bar Printer

Click Create
- Note: Printer will show offline

Click on the CloudPRNT button — this will copy the CloudPRNT link to your clipboard
-
Make sure your laptop is connected to the same internet network as your printer

Open a browser and type in the printer’s IP address

Under System Access, click on Login
-
Use these credentials to log in:
Username:root
Password:public -
Log in > Click CloudPRNT

Click Enable under CloudPRNT Service
-
Paste the CloudPRNT URL you copied earlier
-
Enter
5as Polling Time (Sec.) -
Click Submit, then Save, then Restart Device > Execute
What does a successful printer setup look like?
Once you’ve completed the steps above, head back to Manage > Batching & Printers > Printer Setup and refresh the page.
You should see:

A green “Online” button under the Health column

A MAC Address automatically populated
