If you are using direct to printer and want to print the items with long names shorter, these are the steps that you can follow.

ITEM

1. Go to Your Menu > Menu Items.
2. Find the item you want to edit and click on the menu item text to open it.
3. Scroll at the bottom then click Ordering and POS.
4. On the Short Name text box, type in the the shorter name of the item that you would like to print on the docket.
5. Click Update at the very bottom otherwise it won't save! 💔

MODIFIER

1. Go to Your Menu > Menu Items.
2. Find the item linked to the modifier you want to edit and click on the menu item.
3. Click View item modifiers and upsells.
4. Click the Edit icon beside the modifier you want to edit. On the Short Name text box, type in the the shorter name of the modifier that you would like to print on the docket.
5. Click Update at the very bottom.
