A factory reset is a useful troubleshooting step when your printer encounters persistent errors or configuration issues. This guide will walk you through the process of performing a factory reset, helping you restore your printer to its default settings and regain functionality.
When to perform a Factory Reset?

If you cannot access the printer's configuration page due to a forgotten password, a factory reset restores the default login credentials.

Reusing a printer previously connected to a me&u venue: If the printer was previously configured for a me&u venue, resetting clears old settings, enabling you to reconfigure it for a new location or purpose.

What to Expect After Performing a Factory Reset
A factory reset clears all existing settings, including network configurations, passwords, and any custom preferences. This process restores the printer to its original default settings, allowing you to start fresh.
Important: After a factory reset, you will need to reconfigure your printer in the Printer Setup section under Manage to ensure proper functionality and secure connectivity.
Steps to Perform a Factory Reset
1. Prepare for Reset

- Turn on the printer before proceeding.
- Print a self-test report to print our a summary current settings such as IP Address
- Hold down the

button while turning the printer on

2. Perform the Reset
- Use a thin object (e.g., pen tip) to press and hold the
RST
button (highlighted in the image) while turning the printer on. - Hold the button for 5-9 seconds, then release when
RST
flash or stay lit. - You should see the status LED start flashing red quite fast.
- Release the button and then just a regular press to confirm the factory reset.
- You’ll need to wait approximately 30 seconds to a minute and the printer should have reset all settings.
4. Confirm Reset Completion
- If the reset is successful, the printer will perform initial set up operations, and default settings will be restored.
- Connect the Printer to the network via Ethernet cable or Wifi Adaptors.
- Print a self-test report to confirm.
