Automations and Connect can also be used to send notifications to your venue staff. This automation will SMS your staff when a customer has made 10 bookings, so they can personally reach out or make arrangements for a special treat when they arrive.
- Once logged in to your account, select the + button and choose Create an automation
- Select Blank Automation
- In the right hand menu, select the arrow next to Triggers to expand the section.
- Drag Visit Added to the Trigger area and leave it as at any time. Select Save.
- Make sure the Criteria menu is expanded by clicking the arrow next to Criteria.
- Scroll down until you see Visit Field and then drag it onto the Trigger Criteria/Action area.
- Select Number of visits, equals and 10. You can customise this to the number of visits you wish but for this automation we picked 10. Select Save.
- Make sure the Actions menu is expanded by clicking the arrow next to Actions.
- Drag Notify via SMS to the Trigger Criteria/Action area under the Yes option.
- Select the people you wish to notify, such as the venue manager, and set your message. You can use this as a starting off point:
{contact.firstName} {contact.lastName} just made their 10th booking at the venue, might be worth organising a special treat for their next visit.
- Select Save.
When you're done the automation should look something like this:
Common Modifiers
Adding other milestone visits
You can continue to expand this automation to include further visit milestones so that your manager is aware and can make the necessary arrangements.
- Drag another Visit Field to the Trigger Criteria/Action area under the No Option.
- Set the fields to Number of Visits, equals, and 20. Select Save.
- Drag Notify via SMS to the Trigger Criteria/Action area underneath the second Visit Field.
- Select the same people you wish to notify and include this message:
{contact.firstName} {contact.lastName} just made their 10th booking at the venue, might be worth organising a special treat for their next visit.
- Select Save.
Sending an email instead of SMS
If you utilise a shared mailbox and have multiple people you wish to notify, or just want another method of contact, you can use Notify via Email instead of SMS instead.
