me&u has partnered with Velocity Frequent Flyer, one of Australia’s largest loyalty programs with 13M+ members. Guests can now:

Earn Velocity Points: Available only at venues using the me&u 2.0 platform
Guest can earn 1 Velocity Point for every $5 spent on eligible me&u orders after they've linked their Velocity Frequent Flyer to their me&u account. -
Pay with Points: Available at all me&u venues in Australia on eligible transactions
- Eligible transactions for Pay with Points are made with linked Visa Debit cards through Apple Pay or Google Pay, or Visa Credit cards. Spend limits, exclusions and T&Cs apply.
This partnership drives venue discovery, rewards guest loyalty, and adds value without requiring any operational changes.

Benefits for venues
- Reach new customers
Your venue can appear on Velocity’s discovery map and in joint campaigns to millions of members.
- Zero setup required
No changes to your menu or workflow. Payouts and reconciliation remain the same.
- No cost to venues
All guest Velocity Points are funded by me&u.
- Works alongside your loyalty programs
Guests can earn Velocity Points on top of your existing loyalty benefits (e.g., me&u Rewards, Zen Global, Aura, Como).
What guests experience
The partnership supports two independent features. Guests may use either or both.
1. Earning Velocity Points (requires linking)
Guests can link their Velocity account to me&u either:

In‑venue via the banner in your me&u QR code when scanned they see these two banners. One in the homepage, and one in the order confirmation page.

Online via the Velocity × me&u linking page
What happens when they link:
- The guest enters their Velocity ID, first name, and last name.
- Once successfully linked, they’ll:
- See a confirmation message 🎉
- Earn 1 Velocity Point per $5 spent on eligible orders
- Receive a one time only 100‑point bonus for linking
- View their accrued Velocity Points in their Velocity app and me&u account history
- Stop seeing the “Link your Velocity account” banner after 9 times or when they link their account.
Only linked guests earn Points.
After linking:
The banner disappears, and they’ll start seeing messages in the cart for orders eligible for points.
After paying:
They’ll see points credited in both:

Their Velocity account (visible in the Velocity app)

Their me&u account history in the account page.

Points won’t be earned if:
- The guest hasn’t linked their Velocity account before placing the order.
- The Velocity Frequent Flyer account is inactive at the time of the transaction.
- The entire order is discounted to $0.
- The total order value is less than $5
- The guest is ordering under someone else’s tab (only the tab owner earns points).
Pay at the end - me&u tabs behaviour
Velocity messaging differs depending on whether the guest is the tab owner or a tab participant.

Tab owners
If the guest owns the tab: Velocity messaging appears in both the cart page and the tab payment page All orders placed on the tab earn Points for the tab owner only, provided their Velocity account is linked -
Tab participants
If the guest is adding items to someone else’s tab:
The cart will not show the Velocity message initially (because we don’t yet know whether they’ll add the item to the tab or pay on their own) The Velocity message appears after they choose a payment method If they add to tab → no Points (because tab owner earns) If they pay as PAYG → Velocity message appears as expected
This ensures the Points message only displays when it accurately applies.
2. Pay with Points (cashback after payment, also required visa card)
Pay with Points is a Velocity cashback that happens after a guest pays through me&u.
How it works
- The guest orders and pays through me&u using an eligible Visa card (Visa Debit via Apple Pay or Google Pay, or a Visa Credit card).
- If that card is saved in the Velocity app and the guest has sufficient Points, Velocity sends a push notification.
- The guest accepts the offer in the Velocity app.
- Velocity deducts Points and refunds the equivalent amount back to the card within 2–10 business days.
Important Notes:
- This is managed entirely by Velocity, not me&u
- Venue refunds for orders are unchanged so if an order is refunded, the guest will keep the points.
- Venue payouts are never affected
- Linking velocity membership & me&u is required only to earn Points
- and Linking Visa Card is required only to receive cashback.
How it works for venues
In‑menu visibility
- Unlinked guests see a small banner at the bottom of your me&u menu.
- It shows for up to 9 scans of your venue QR by the same guest, then automatically stops.
- It does not impact menu design or ordering flow.
Featured placement on Velocity
- Eligible venues appear on Velocity’s discovery map to help members discover places to earn or use Points.
No change to payments or reconciliation
- When guests choose to pay with Velocity Points, they’ll still order and pay through me&u as usual. The option to pay with Points is prompted separately in the Velocity app post transaction.
- This happens entirely outside of me&u and your payout or reconciliations will not be affected
Your Velocity Performance (Coming Soon)
Velocity performance insights will soon appear in your Manage dashboard.
You’ll be able to track:
- Total Orders vs Velocity Orders
- Total GMV vs Velocity GMV
- Total Points Earned (venue + customers)
More insights will be added over time to help you understand Velocity-driven behaviour at your venue.

Opting out of marketing visibility
If you’d like to opt out, we can remove any Velocity affiliation from your me&u menu. This means:
- The linking banner will be removed from the bottom of your me&u page (2.0 venues only)
- Your venue will not appear under the Velocity filter on the me&u Venue Locator (2.0 venue only)
- Your venue will not be included in any Velocity-led marketing to their 13+ million members

Please note that if a guest has already linked their Velocity membership before visiting your venue, they will still be able to earn Points and use Points to offset their bill. This activity occurs behind the scenes and is associated with me&u, not your venue.
FAQs
- Do venues need to activate anything?
No. If a venue is using the 2.0 platform, the feature is automatically applied to their me&u menu. Nothing will change for 1.0 platform users, as they are only elligible for Pay with Points which happens outside of the me&u app entirely.
- How do I know if Velocity is enabled?
Velocity is enabled by default to all 2.0 venues and you will no it's enabled if you haven't linked your account and you still see the linking banner at the bottom of your me&u menu when scanning a QR code at your venue.
- Is the program available outside Australia?
No. This program is Australia-only.
- Can guests sign up for a new Velocity account inside me&u?
No. They’ll need to create their Velocity account directly with Velocity before linking it to me&u.
- Do guests earn points if they’re not linked yet?
No. Guests must link their Velocity account before placing an order. If they’re not linked, a banner will appear on the order confirmation page inviting them to link for future points.
- Do guests earn points on past orders if they link later?
No. Points are only earned on orders placed after linking their account.
- Do points vary by Velocity tier (Silver, Gold, Platinum)?
No. All members earn at the same rate — 1 point for every $5 spent.
- How do refunds work for Pay with Points?
Process me&u refunds as usual and the guest will keep the points.
- Can I see which orders used Pay with Points?
Not yet. Pay with Points is managed by Velocity as a cashback and does not appear in Manage reporting.
- Do guests earn Points on group tabs?
Only the tab owner earns Velocity Points when paying a Pay‑at‑End group tab.
- Can guests earn from both Velocity and the venue’s loyalty program?
Yes. The programs stack. If a venue also runs me&u Rewards, Como or Zen Global, guests can earn both Velocity Points and venue loyalty rewards at the same time and the points are earned on the total paid. i.e: post discount
- Can guests pay for their me&u order directly with Velocity Points?
No. Cashback is handled by Velocity after the transaction, not inside me&u.
- How are points rounded?
Points round up from the halfway mark:
$12.00 → 2 points
$12.51 → 3 points
- Is there a limit to how much spend earns points?
Yes. Points are only earned on up to $5,000 of eligible spend per transaction.
- Can I run my own Velocity Points promotion?
Not at this time. All Points are funded by me&u.
- Can I use Velocity branding in my own marketing?
Yes, with approval from your me&u Account Manager.
- Can one Velocity account be linked to more than one me&u account?
No. It’s a 1:1 relationship. Each Velocity account can only be linked to one me&u account.
