You can set a PIN that must be entered before a refund can be processed. This adds a layer of security so only authorised people can issue refunds.
Who can set or manage the PIN
- Only Venue Owners level access can create manager PINs and view existing PINs.
- Venue Staff and Service Staff level accesses cannot create or manage PINs.
- Venue Staff can process refunds when they enter the PIN.
- Service Staff may see Live Orders but still won’t be able to process refunds.
Remember
- The PIN is required right before a refund is processed from Orders & Refunds. It doesn’t change who can access or view orders; it only restricts the act of refunding with an extra layer of security.
- Always mirror the refund in your POS to keep reporting aligned.
Setting a PIN for your venue
- Go to Venue Details > Venue Info
- Scroll down to Security
- Toggle on Require PIN for processing refunds
- You will then be prompted to enter a PIN code twice.
