A Stripe Connect account stays linked to the organisation it was set up under. This article explains what happens if you move venues to a different organisation, and your options.
How it works
- Your Stripe Connect account belongs to the organisation it was created in.
- Venues in that organisation can share the same Stripe Connect account.
- The account can't be moved to a different organisation.
What happens if you move venues to another organisation
If you move venues to a different organisation, they can't share the original Stripe Connect account properly.
- Only one venue can be linked to the account at a time.
- Linking a second venue removes the connection from the first venue.
⚠️ Warning: Moving venues between organisations can break the Stripe Connect link for venues that were already connected. Check your options below first.
Your options
Choose one of these so your venues can share a Stripe Connect account:
- Keep the venues in the original organisation. They can then share the existing Stripe Connect account.
- Create a new Stripe Connect account in the new organisation. All venues in that organisation can then share it.
Contact Support if you need venues moved between organisations.
