This article explains how to apply promotion to specific menu sections from Serve. You can use either amount or percentage type discounts, such as:

• Apply 10% discount for all items in Entree menu section
• Apply $5 discount for all items in Noodles menu section

How to apply promotion to specific sections

1. Create a dynamic collection for your chosen menu category using section property (see Creating dynamic collection)
2. Create your voucher until you reach the Discount value tab.
3. Select your discount value (Amount Type or Percentage Type)
4. Under Apply discount to, select Items
5. Scroll down until you see Validation rules and select New
   
6. Choose to discount Selected order line item(s)
7. Click on Add items
8. Under "For items in", click on Select
9. Switch to Collections tab and select the dynamic collection you have created
10. You can choose to apply discount to all, cheapest or most expensive option in the cart
