Disable Auto-Lock
When a device auto-locks, it can cause a connection in Lightspeed resulting in sync issues. Here is how to disable auto-lock on your iOS device:
- Go to Settings
- Select Display and Brightness
- Tap Auto-Lock and choose "Never"
Prevent the Kounta app from being minimised
80% of order failures are due to the Kounta App being minimised on the iPad. The most common reason is when staff use other apps simultaneously with Kounta on the device.
The Guide Access feature allows the iPad to be locked down to prevent the Kounta app from being closed. Here is a guide from Apple on how to enable this.
Enable auto-reconnection
Lightspeed also has a setting to automatically reconnect in the event of sync issues.
Follow these steps to enable auto reconnection on your iPad:
- Ensure you are running the latest version of the Kounta app by checking if an update exists in the App Store.
- On the iPad, close down the Kounta app and go to Settings
- Scroll down and select 'Point Of Sale'
- Tick the checkbox "Enable websocket refresh upon returning to app"
- That's It! You can now reopen the Kounta app on your iPad 😊
