If you run a multi-vendor venue, you have two ways to reward your guests: me&u Reward, our own rewards and promotions tool included at no extra cost, and a loyalty integration with Leat, our loyalty partner for multi-vendor venues. The main difference is how a discount is shared across your vendors. This article explains both options and how discounts work in each, so you can choose the one that suits your venue.
Before you start
- This is for multi-vendor venues, where guests order from several vendors and pay one total.
- You run one option at a time, me&u Reward or Leat, never both together. If you already use me&u Reward and switch to Leat, your membership moves over to Leat as part of the setup.
- me&u enables the Leat integration for your venue. See the setup steps below.

Why run a loyalty solution
At a multi-vendor venue, loyalty is one of the best ways to turn a one-off visit into a habit, and to bring guests back to your whole line-up of vendors, not just one.
- Bring guests back more often. Rewards and points give guests a reason to return and explore more of your vendors.
- Grow your marketing database. Every member opts in, so you can reach them with offers long after they have left.
- Increase spend per visit. Members order more when they can see the rewards they are working towards.
- Reward across the whole venue, fairly. With the right setup, a discount comes from the vendor it is for, so no vendor funds an offer they did not run.
Venues that launch loyalty with me&u have seen order volume rise by more than 30%, repeat visits climb, and thousands of new members sign up within weeks.
me&u Reward for multi-vendor venues
Reward is me&u's own tool for building loyalty and running promotions, included at no extra cost. It runs on its own platform with a separate login to your Manage account. Reward gives you four ways to reward your guests, and you can run one or several at once.
- Discount codes, codes that unlock a set discount, such as an amount off, a percentage off, or a free item
- Gift cards, which work like cash until the balance reaches zero
- Loyalty program, a points-based program where guests earn points as they spend and redeem them for money off a future bill
- Membership tiers, a percentage discount linked to a guest's mobile number that applies automatically at checkout, with no code needed
How discounts work at a multi-vendor venue
Reward applies a discount across the whole cart, not to specific vendors. At a multi-vendor venue, that discount is split across the vendors in the cart in proportion to each vendor's share of the total. Every vendor in the cart absorbs part of the discount. For example, a guest uses a 10% off code on a $60 basket:
| Vendor | Before | Discount | After |
|---|---|---|---|
| Food | $30.00 | -$3.00 | $27.00 |
| Drinks | $20.00 | -$2.00 | $18.00 |
| Sweets | $10.00 | -$1.00 | $9.00 |
| Guest pays | $60.00 | -$6.00 | $54.00 |
The 10% discount is spread across all three vendors in proportion to their share of the basket.
ℹ️ Note: if you want a discount to come from only the vendor it applies to, rather than being shared across every vendor, the Leat integration below is the better fit.
Loyalty with Leat
Leat is our loyalty partner for multi-vendor venues. It gives you a full loyalty program, offers, deals, points earning and a Point Shop, with one important difference from Reward: a discount is attributed to the specific vendor or vendors an offer is for, so a vendor never funds an offer they did not run.
How discounts are attributed
Every Leat offer falls into one of three patterns, set when you build the offer in Leat.
- Single-vendor offer, the whole discount lands on one vendor's items, even if the basket contains items from other vendors
- Selected-vendor offer, the discount is split across the chosen vendors as Leat instructs
- Whole-basket offer, with no vendor targeted, the discount spreads across every vendor in proportion to their share of the basket, the same way a Reward discount does
For example, a $10 off Drinks offer on the same $60 basket applies only to Drinks:
| Vendor | Before | Discount | After |
|---|---|---|---|
| Food | $30.00 | - | $30.00 |
| Drinks | $20.00 | -$10.00 | $10.00 |
| Sweets | $10.00 | - | $10.00 |
| Guest pays | $60.00 | -$10.00 | $50.00 |
Getting started with Leat
Leat is a separate partnership you set up alongside me&u. Here is how the journey works:
- Tell us you are interested. Email support@meandu.com or speak to your me&u account manager and let us know you would like to explore Leat for your venue.
- We connect you with Leat. We introduce you to a Leat account manager, who walks you through what Leat offers and how it fits your venue.
- Build your program in Leat. With your Leat account manager, you set up your loyalty program in Leat's portal, not in me&u, including offers, deals, earn rules, and which vendor each offer is for.
- We switch on the integration. me&u and Leat enable the connection for your venue together.
- Go live. Your loyalty program runs inside the me&u ordering flow.
Because you run one loyalty option at a time, moving to Leat means moving off me&u Reward. If you already run Reward, your existing loyalty membership, including any membership tiers such as a staff discount, moves over to Leat as part of the switch.

FAQ
Is there a cost for either option?
me&u Reward is included at no extra cost. Leat is a third-party loyalty provider you partner with separately.
What is the main difference between the two?
Reward splits a discount proportionally across every vendor in the cart. Leat attributes a discount to the specific vendor or vendors an offer is for, providing more flexibility for you.
Can I run both at the same time?
No. You run one loyalty option at a time, either me&u Reward or Leat, so discounts never stack across the two. If you switch from Reward to Leat, your existing membership, including any membership tiers such as a staff discount, moves over to Leat.
How do I get started with Leat?
Get in touch with me&u at support@meandu.com and we'll connect you to Leat.
