How is my Lightspeed Kounta POS connected to my me&u menu?
Every menu item and modifier in your Lightspeed Kounta POS has a unique code. These codes are entered into me&u so that when a customer orders on me&u, your POS can receive the order and knows what it is.
Within Lightspeed Kounta POS, you will need to give admin access to the me&u team so we can link your Lightspeed Kounta POS account with your me&u account. Once this is done, your items are brought into an intermediate page in me&u called Bulk Operations. From here, you can select the items you wish to import to me&u and any option sets linked to the item will be brought with it! Here is a step by step guide on how to add new items to your me&u menu.
Once your me&u menu is set up and integrated with your Lightspeed Kounta POS account, our team does testing with you to demonstrate how things work and make sure all the orders are going through to your POS and printing dockets as normal.
This testing process may mean you have extra orders in your till that should not be accounted for in your end-of-day reporting but you can simply refund all the test orders in Lightspeed Kounta POS.
Do orders go into my POS straight after the customer pays?
Dine-in orders will go into your POS straight after the customer pays on me&u. There is usually about a 30-second delay until they appear.
If you are doing takeaway and using our ordering windows feature, you have the option to allow the orders to go into your POS and print straight away or closer to the chosen ordering window for pre-orders.
For example, if a customer is placing an order on Monday for Friday, you can choose for the order to go through to your POS and print either on Monday or on Friday for a chosen amount of time prior. Here is how to activate Order-ahead Windows.
Where do orders show in my POS?
Orders will show in your pos under "online orders". You can access this section of your POS from the main screen on the far right. When an order comes in you will see a "1" pop up indicating you have received a new online order. Once you click on that you will see the order shown on the online orders page. The order is not clickable and will go into order history after 15 minutes. The order should print immediately after it comes into your POS, so you can see what the customer has ordered on the docket.
If the order shows on your normal "orders page" it will be because there is a price discrepancy. This occurs when the pricing in me&u does not match the pricing in your POS. This order will be clickable on the orders page in your Lightspeed Kounta POS, but when you click on it there will be an unpaid amount (for example if the variance is $2, in Lightspeed Kounta POS, this order will show a $2 payment needed to checkout). To fix this you need to either edit the pricing in Lightspeed Kounta POS or in me&u to make sure they exactly match.
Where do I access reports?
You can access reports in Lightspeed Kounta POS as these reports will include me&u orders too. If you would like to just access me&u order reports, go to Reports in Manage me&u. Here is how to access reporting in me&u.
Where do I process refunds?
When a customer is after a refund you will need to process this refund in your POS AND in me&u. The customer pays in me&u, so refunding in me&u is how they will get their money back. However, it's important to do the refund in your POS also so that the reports all match up in Lightspeed Kounta POS. Here is how to process a refund in me&u.
