- Individual send reports (per message type)
- Aggregate folder reports (across multiple message types)
- Directly from the automation lifecycle (Statistics view)
Automations can execute instantly when triggers are met.
Because of this, automated sends are grouped under Campaign folders rather than appearing as standard manual campaigns.
Best Practice: Use Folders for Automation Reporting
When setting up Email or SMS actions within an automation, it is recommended to assign them to a dedicated folder.
This allows you to:
Easily access aggregate reports
Track lifecycle performance
Group similar automation campaigns together
If multiple automations share similar messaging or offers, they can also be grouped into the same folder for consolidated reporting.
Viewing Reports for Messages Sent via Automations
Reports can be viewed by individual sends or as an aggregate on folders.
Viewing Reports as Individual Sends
Use this method when you want to analyse a specific message sent via an automation.
Steps
Navigate to the Campaigns section and click the Search icon
Within the Search Campaigns dialog:
Click on Channels
Select Automated Email (or Automated SMS for SMS reports)
(Optional) Specify other search criteria such as:
Send Date (including date range)
Keywords
Subject
Click on the Search button
The results table will show every campaign sent via automations that matches your filters.
Clicking the Statistics button will display the analytics report for the chosen campaign.
What you can view in the individual report
Email delivered, open and click-through rates
Opt-outs, bounce rate and spam metrics
Recipient engagement (Sent, Opened, Blocked)
Link performance including total and unique clicks
Top links clicked
Opt-out reasons and trends
Viewing Aggregate Reports by Folders
Use folder-level reporting to analyse the overall performance of automation campaigns across a lifecycle (e.g. drip campaigns, birthday campaigns, win-back journeys).
Steps
Navigate to the Campaigns section and click on Folder View
Your page will be updated to show all campaign folders along with:Number of campaigns within each folder
Total messages sent
Click the Search icon
Within the Search Campaigns dialog:
Click on Channels
Select Automated Email (or Automated SMS for SMS reports)
(Optional) Apply filters such as:
Send Date (including date range)
Keywords
Subject
Click on the Search button
Only folders containing messages sent via automations will be displayed.
Clicking on the Statistics button will display an aggregate report of all campaigns within that folder. The aggregate report will also show a breakdown of each campaign inside the folder, allowing you to drill down into individual campaign reports.
Viewing Automation Lifecycle Statistics
You can also access reporting directly from the automation itself.
Steps
Navigate to Automations
Locate the automation you want to review
Click on the three dots (⋯)
Select Statistics from the dropdown menu
You will then be able to view the email and SMS statistics across the automation’s lifecycle, including message activity over time.
Important Notes
Statistics are only available for automations that include Email or SMS actions
If an automation does not send Email or SMS, a Statistics page will not be available
Reporting is available for the full lifetime of your Connect account and is not limited to a fixed time window
You can use filters (such as date range) to analyse performance across specific periods
If an automation does not send Email or SMS, a Statistics page will not be available
Understanding Key Reporting Tabs
Overview
Provides a high-level summary on the performance, including delivery rate, open rate, click-through rate, bounce rate and spam metrics.
Recipients
Displays a list of recipients and their engagement status, helping you audit delivery and engagement at a contact level.
Links
Shows detailed link performance, including:
Total clicks (all clicks on the link)
Unique clicks (number of recipients who clicked at least once)
Click-through rate per link
The Link Map provides a visual breakdown of how recipients interact with links within your email.
It shows:
Which links received the most clicks
Click distribution across different sections of the message
Engagement hotspots within the email content
This helps you quickly identify which calls-to-action and content sections are performing best, without needing to review link metrics individually.
Opt-out Reason
Breakdown of why recipients unsubscribed (e.g. too many messages, not relevant content), which can be used to refine targeting and messaging strategy.
