Average Customer Rating
Definition : The mean score guests give in their feedback, showing overall satisfaction
Calculation: Average Rating = Sum of Ratings ÷ Number of Ratings.
Average Customer Spend
Definition: Average revenue per unique customer within the period.
Calculation: Average Customer Spend = Total Revenue ÷ Total Customers
Average Tip Value when customers tip ($)
Definition: The mean dollar amount of tips only across orders that include a tip, indicating how much tipping guests typically give.
Calculation: Average Tip Value = (Total tip amount from tipped orders) ÷ (Number of orders that included a tip)
Average Tip Percentage
Definition: The mean tip amount expressed as a percentage of the order total, calculated only for orders that included a tip.
Calculation: Average Tip % = (Total tip amount ÷ Total order amount of tipped orders) × 100
Average Transaction Value (ATV)
Definition: The average amount a guest spends per transaction over a period.
Calculation: ATV = Revenue ÷ Number of Transactions
Average Daily Orders
Definition: The typical number of completed guest orders received per day during a selected time period.
Calculation: Average Daily Orders = Total Orders ÷ Number of Days in the chosen date range.
Average Order Value
Definition: Average value per order;
Calculation: Average Order Value = Revenue ÷ Orders

Basket
Definition: The set of items in a single customer order or transaction.
Related: ATV, Line Items, Basket Size.
Bulk Export (Line Items)
Definition: Download of row-level order data including items, quantities, prices, timestamps, and identifiers.
Calculation: Not a metric—data extract for offline analysis.

Categories (Food or Drink)
Definition: Menu groupings applied to items for reporting (e.g., Beer, Wine, Mains).
Calculation: Not a metric—used for aggregations and filters.
Conversion Rate (Tip Conversion)
Definition: Share of transactions that include a tip.
Calculation: Tip Conversion Rate = Number of Tipped Transactions ÷ Number of Transactions
Crew Upsells
Definition: Incremental items added via staff prompts or actions attributed to a crew member/login.
Calculation: Crew Upsell Value = Sum of Revenue from Upsell-Attributed Items

Customer (Count)
Definition: Number of unique customers ordering in the period.
Calculation: Count of distinct customer identifiers (ID, device, or payment token).
Customer Repeat Rate
Definition: Share of customers who purchased more than once within a time window.
Calculation: Repeat Rate = Returning Customers ÷ Total Customers
Customer Spend (Average)
Definition: Average revenue per unique customer within the period.
Calculation: Avg Customer Spend = Total Revenue ÷ Total Customers

Discounts
Definition: Monetary value of price reductions applied to orders.
Calculation: The total value of all discounts applied to transactions within the selected period.
Drink SKUs
Definition: Individual drink items as stocked or sold (stock-keeping units).
Calculation: Not a metric—used for item-level reporting.

Fast Feedback (Customer Feedback)
Definition: Post-purchase rating and comments captured from guests.
Example rating metric: Average customer rating
Food & Beverage Split %
Definition: the percentage of total sales revenue that comes from food versus beverages, showing how spend is distributed between the two categories.
Calculation:
- Food % = (Total Food Sales ÷ Total Sales) × 100
- Beverage % = (Total Beverage Sales ÷ Total Sales) × 100

Group Analytics
Definition: Cross-venue views aggregating metrics across multiple locations.
Calculation: Aggregations of more than one venue-level metrics (sum, average, share) depending on the metric.
Group Tabs
Definition: Shared tabs used by groups to place multiple orders over time.
Calculation: Group Tab Share = Group Tab Revenue ÷ Total Revenue

Item Sales (Overview) Definition: Sale of Food & Drinks only
Calculation : Sum of all food + drink item sales within the selected date range.
Item Summary (Daily)
Definition: Live view of item-level revenue for today.
Calculation: Item revenue = Sum(Quantity × Item Price) for the day.

Line Item
Definition: A single row in an order detailing one SKU, its quantity, and price.
Calculation: Line Item Revenue = Quantity × Unit Price − Line-level Discount

Multi-Vendor Ordering (MVO)
Definition: Orders where a guest purchases from multiple vendors/venues in one flow.
Calculation: MVO Share = MVO Revenue ÷ Total Revenue

Orders (Count)
Definition: The number of distinct orders placed in the period.
Calculation: Count of unique Order IDs.

Payouts Export
Definition: Downloadable breakdown of daily payouts by date and component.

Refunds (Amount)
Definition: Value returned to customers for cancelled or adjusted orders.
Calculation: Refund Rate = Refund Amount ÷ Revenue
Rejected Orders
Definition: Orders not accepted or rejected by the venue/system.
Calculation: Rejected Order Rate = Rejected Orders ÷ Total Orders
Revenue
Definition: Total sales from food and drinks, with sales tax, card processing fees, tips and me&u fees included.
Calculation: Revenue = Sale of Food & Drinks + Card Fees + Tips + Tax
Repeat Customer
Definition: A customer who has made more than one purchase within the analysis window.
Calculation: Count of customers with Orders ≥ 2.

Total Order Value
Definition: Full value of orders before discounts, refunds, and processor/platform fees.
Calculation: Total Order Value = Sum(Line Item Revenue) + Taxes + Surcharges + Gratuity (before any discounts or refunds).
Sales Performance
Definition: Trend view of sales across time with period comparisons.
Calculation: Not a metric—used for to highlight key performance indicators.
SKU
Definition: Unique identifier code for menu item. In me&u x POS Integrations, this code originates from your POS (often referred to as POS ID or PLU Code) and is synced into me&u or manually added to ensure the menu item links correctly for ordering, reporting and stock management.
Surcharges
Definition: Additional fees applied to orders, such as service or card fees.
Calculation: Surcharge Share = Surcharge Amount ÷ Total Revenue

Tip Amount
Definition: Total value of tips collected.
Calculation: Tip Amount = Sum of Tips across transactions.
Tip Conversion Rate
Definition: Share of transactions that include any tip.
Calculation: Tip Conversion Rate = Number of Tipped Transactions ÷ Number of Transactions.
Transactions
Definition: Completed purchases captured as orders; sometimes used interchangeably with orders.
Calculation: Transactions = Number of Orders.

Calculation: Upsell Share of Sales = Upsell Revenue ÷ Total Sales.
