🎉 Let's Get Your New Printer Up and Running! 🎉
Step 1: Unboxing Your Printer
Inside your printer box, you’ll find:

Note: You’ll need to grab an Ethernet cable separately—it’s not included in the box.
Step 2: Setting Up Your Printer
- Plug it In! Connect the power cable to the back of the printer and plug it into the nearest power source.
- Open Up: Pull on the lever to open the printer.
- Insert the Ribbon: Make sure it's pulled tight and slot it into the front of the printer.
- Add Test Paper: Pop the test paper roll into the printer.
- Close It Up: Close the front and back of the printer, then tear off any extra paper.
Step 3: Connecting to the Internet
You can connect your printer using an Ethernet cable.

- Insert the Ethernet cable into the back of the printer (connector facing up).
- Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to your internet modem.
- Keep the printer connected via cable in the same location.
Step 4: Finding your Printer’s IP Address
Time to find your printer’s IP address for the final setup steps:
- Once the printer is plugged into the internet modem, wait for the red flashing light to turn green.
- When the light turns green, turn off the printer.
- Turn the printer back on while holding down the round 'Feed' button.
- Release the button once it starts printing.
- Two pieces of paper will come out:
- Discard the first one.
- The second one has your IP address—note it down for the online setup!

🎉 Online Printer Setup 🎉
Step 1: Update Your Printer FirmwareÂ
- Get Connected: Make sure your laptop is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your printer.
- Open the Printer’s Web Interface: Type the printer’s IP address into your browser’s URL bar and hit Enter.

Firmware Update Time!
- On the left-hand side, click on Firmware Update.
- Click Check for updates and give it a moment.
- If an update is available, scroll down and click Download. This might take a few minutes, so hang tight!
- While it’s updating, the printer’s light will turn red. Once the update finishes, it will turn green, and you’ll hear a little noise from the printer.

Refresh and Reset:
- Refresh your browser screen and log in again.
- You’ll be asked to change your password. Note it down carefully so you don't forget!Â
- Click Submit and then Save.
- Select Save - Restart device and click Execute. Wait a minute or so until you see a pop-up saying 'success'.

Step 2: Connect Your me&uÂ
Log In to the Management Portal

Access the Portal:
- Go to manage.meandu.app.
- Log in with your credentials.

Integration Setup:
- Navigate to the Integration Setup Page.
- Enable Send failed orders to fallback printer.
- Click Submit.
Add Your Printer

Printer Setup:
- Go to Batching & Printers > Printer Setup.
- Click Add Printer.
- Enter a name for your printer (e.g.,
Back Up Printer
) and click Create. - Copy the CloudPRNT link by clicking the document button under the Copy link column.

Configure the Cloud Print Link:
- Open a new browser tab and enter your printer’s IP address to access the CloudPRNT link.
- Click Login and then CloudPRNT.
- Toggle ENABLE under CloudPRNT Service.
- Paste the CloudPRNT link into the Server URL field.
- Set Polling time (Sec.) to 5sec.
- Click Submit and then Save.
- Select Save - Restart Device and click Execute. Wait until you see a success pop-up, which might take a minute.
Printer Group Setup

Printer Group Management:
- Go to the sidebar and click on Printer Group.
- Click Add Printer Group to create a new group or Edit to rename the Default Printer Group.

Link Printers to Groups:
- If you have multiple printers or printer groups, ensure that each group is linked to the correct printer.

Assign Printer Groups to Menu Items:
- Go to Menu Items > Bulk Operations.
- Assign the printer groups to the appropriate items.
- If only the Default Printer Group is available, it will auto-assign to any items not linked to a specific group. This reduces errors and ensures all items print correctly.
Final Touch

Refresh and Verify:
- Return to the management portal and refresh the page.
- Your printer should now display a MAC address and appear as Online.
